Position:  Opto-Mechanical Engineer

Job Description & Responsibilities

DiCon Fiberoptics, a 20-year veteran of the fiber optic components industry, has immediate openings for experienced Opto-Mechanical Engineers to develop solid-state lighting devices. The responsibility of the position is to package a multiple of LED chips into arrays or light engines. The ideal candidates will have significant prior experience in opto-mechanical design, preferably in solid-state lighting. The position requires working closely with hardware, material, process and manufacturing engineers.

Qualifications & Requirements

• At least 2 years direct experience in opto-mechanical design
• B.S. degree or above in ME, IEOR or equivalence
• Familiar with production automation
• Comfortable with industrial fast-moving environment and able to accomplish tasks under deadline pressure
