Position:  Senior Optical Engineer/Director of Optical Programs

Job Description & Responsibilities

DiCon has an immediate need for a Senior Optical Engineer/ Director of Optical Programs to lead the development programs of innovative optical components from initial concept to deployment and provide optical design related guidance and technical advice to engineers for production projects. The primary function for this position is to initiate new product concepts, and lead a team to design, develop products and transfer them to production. This individual must be self-motivated and very results oriented. The ideal candidate will have significant prior experience in micro-optics, fiber optics, MEMS, and semiconductor fabrication process. The position requires working closely with DiCon's sales and marketing team on product requirements and features, as well as collaboration with other product developers, engineers and manufacturing.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MS or Ph.D in optical science /physics / E.E.
• 10 years hands-on experience in optical design
• Solid foundation in optical communications / fiber optics theory
• Experience with MEMS-based optical components
• Excellent project management skill
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
