Position:  General Accountant

DiCon Fiberoptics Inc. is one of the suppliers of innovative, high quality optical components, integrated modules, and test equipment for the optical networking industry. We have an immediate opening for the General Accountant position. The job description is as follows:

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with FASB requirements
• Reconcile general ledger balance with subsidiary ledger
• Prepare sale & use tax report and manage tax payments
• Handle bank accounts and related transactions including cash flow management
• Provide backup service to AR and AP
• Any ad hoc assignment

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must have at least 2-year work experience in preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy and responsibility.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, including but not limited to research, organize and analyze information.
• Must be a self-starter and team player.
• Strong initiative and able to set priorities and manage multiple tasks to meet stringent deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
• Proficient in Microsoft office products (advanced excel skill a plus)
• AA or BS in Business or Accounting preferred.
